I must apologize to the STEM Academy. I made a generalization of all Knox County’s public schools a few weeks ago after I went through the day with a very bad migraine. I now have a tube of Aleve (basically Aspirin) in the office with my name on it, and if I have a migraine, I am free to imbibe a pill or two to alleviate the pain. This is the proper way to do things: high schoolers should be trusted with responsibility. If we are in pain, let us relieve ourselves of it without needing to involve the parents every time. Again, thank you to whoever said that the kids in this school are responsible enough to medicate themselves. Now that just needs to be applied across the county.
